ShootTrack Privacy Policy

ShootTrack ("we", "the app") is a shooting sports tracking app that uses camera-based bullet hole detection to score your targets.

What We Collect

On Your Device Only

• Session history: Scores, hit coordinates, timestamps — stored locally and synced via your personal iCloud if enabled
• App settings: Preferences — stored locally

We have no access to this data. It stays on your device and your iCloud account.

Training Photos (opt-in, anonymous)

If you enable "Save photos for training" in Settings, the app saves:

• Target photos with all metadata stripped (no GPS, no device identifiers, no timestamps)
• Detection annotations — bounding box coordinates of detected holes (no personal information)

All shared data is completely anonymous. We cannot identify who took or uploaded any photo. No name, email, Apple ID, account, or device serial number is ever transmitted.

How We Use Training Data

Uploaded training photos are used exclusively to improve ShootTrack's bullet hole detection accuracy. We never use your data for advertising, marketing, profiling, tracking, or selling to third parties.

Training data is not sent to any third-party AI service. It is processed only by ShootTrack's own infrastructure.

Your Control

• Default: OFF. Training photo saving is disabled by default.
• Consent required. A consent dialog explains what is collected before you can enable it.
• Stop anytime. Turn the toggle off to stop collection.
• Delete anytime. "Clear Training Data" in Settings permanently removes all saved photos and annotations from your device.
• Export. You can export your diary as CSV and training data via the share sheet.

iCloud Sync

Session history syncs via Apple's iCloud Key-Value Storage, governed by Apple's privacy policy and your iCloud settings.

No Tracking

• No analytics SDKs
• No advertising SDKs
• No user accounts or login required
• No cross-app tracking (App Tracking Transparency is not applicable)

Children

ShootTrack is not directed at children under 16.
